About Us
I live with my 5 sweet felines: Bastian, Fred, PNut, Lil Bit, and Teddy. I remember and cherish the time I had with my precious Percy, Mister Meer, Gatsby, and Batman who have already crossed the Rainbow Bridge. All of my pets have been rescued in some fashion or are "foster fails" that I fell in love with and knew that they belonged with our family.
After watching the pets of friends and relatives for many years, I officially started pet sitting on Rover.com in July of 2019. Then I founded and opened Starnes Pet Services in January of 2020. I applied for and received my LLC in June of 2020. In September of 2021 I decided it was time to change my business name to Percy's Pet Services, LLC in honor of my beloved Percy who passed away during this same year. In addition, my pet sitting business is insured through Pet Sitters Associates.
My own precious pets are beloved members of my own little family and I understand how much my clients care for their own cherished pets. I love all animals and have years of experience working with them. You can trust me to provide a safe, comfortable, fun, and healthy environment for your furry friend. Whether it’s taking them for walks, coming by to feed them, or providing at-home care, I will watch over your pet as if it were one of my own precious furbabies.
My specialty is cats and kittens, but I also have experience with dogs and am also open to working with other types of animals. In addition, I have experience with elderly pets, giving SubQ fluids, insulin, nebulizing treatments, and other medicines. I also have a scale available to check your furbaby's current weight as well as a microchip scanner.
I am also a local school teacher and I work part-time at a state park. In all of these places, I share my love of ANIMALS with everyone I meet and spread the message of #RescueSpayNeuterAdoptLove!
From time to time I foster cats and kittens through the NO KILL animal shelter Pawmetto Lifeline in Harbison, S.C.
In addition, I am a volunteer with Feral Cat Solutions of Chapin, Inc. and help with the TNR (trap-neuter-return) of feral cats in Newberry County. I also feed various feral cat colonies in the surrounding community each day.
